Our riding team has raised in excess of $290,000 for Peter Mac since 2012. In 2016 we broadened our team for a couple of fundraising rides benefiting Peter Mac and we have changed our name to Ride4Tige, in Lucas’s memory. With over 50 riders & walkers in the One Day to Conquer Cancer and several team members in the Tour de Cure for Peter Mac, we were the proud recipient of the 2016 Peter MacCallum Community Award
Want to join our team & ride or walk with us? – just ask for details and join in Ride4Tige as we keep rolling for research!
I know your support is important and valued by our team and we continue our training rides to get our fitness in shape for the journey we are about to embark on.
I sincerely thank you for supporting Peter Mac the work they do is world class. You know this when other hospitals and oncologists have to refer you there because of its expertise.
Every year ride is very emotional for me, I’m out cycling the countryside doing what I love to do and Lucas will never have that opportunity- it just doesn’t seem fair, but then cancer is a real bastard like that.
Unfortunately, Lucas’s lost his battle to this horrendous disease 16th August 2015 aged 20 years. He kept his strength and humility to the very end.
Our rides are particularly tough, but our sweat on these outings is nothing compared to the tears & pain a cancer patient lives with every day.
Thanks once again, as none of this would be possible without your wonderful support. “Breaking new ground – Changing Lives”
